Our Land Use Committee has been meeting regularly for something over 30 years now. It is the only impartial, citizen group working to ensure that Lawrence and Douglas County grow in a sustainable way and following our comprehensive plan. The committee has become a resource for community members who wish to know more about land use, and occasionally a resource for Lawrence-Douglas County planning department staff who wish to know about past planning decisions!
